The Zelie coffee table asserts itself through a strong architectural presence. Designed by Céline Mognon Fichet for Habitat, it plays on a radical contrast between the strength of a spectacular base and the delicacy of tempered glass, here in a warm amber brown tone that lends the piece a nuanced transparency.
The base is built from semi-circular curves assembled in a cross, fitting together with precision to form a sculptural foundation whose graphic power instantly redefines the character of a room. In the designer's own words, these semi-circular forms and the cross assembly create a visible interior architecture.
The rectangular top is made of tempered glass, heat-treated to be up to five times stronger than ordinary glass. Classified as safety glass, it breaks into small, non-cutting fragments in case of impact, combining visual lightness with solidity.
The table measures 110 cm in length, 60 cm in depth and 40 cm in height. The two main base elements are 80 cm long and the two transverse elements 18 cm wide. It is delivered fully assembled, ready to take its place in the living room as soon as it arrives.
